Nia’s Story.
From Abandoned to Redeveloped
A journey of surrender, survival, and Spirit-led rebuilding—one brick at a time.
I used to abandon myself to meet the needs of others—partners, children, employers.
Not because I didn’t know my worth, but because I was living like a life constantly being shaped for everyone else’s use, never my own design.Over time, I overextended my emotional, mental, and physical capacity until the structure of self began to erode through neglect.
But that season is over.
I am no longer a life built for everyone else’s expectations.
I am a redevelopment project—intentionally being restored, restructured, and redesigned. What was once neglected is now being rebuilt with purpose, boundaries, and clarity.
My story began with people-pleasing, codependency, and a deep desire to keep peace by avoiding confrontation. I spent years trying to save everyone while slowly losing myself in the process.
Those patterns followed me into adulthood—into relationships, motherhood, and identity.
I struggled with self-abandonment, confusion around who I was, and cycles of trying to rebuild myself through external validation, titles, and even name changes as an artist searching for identity.
Eventually, I reached a point where I could no longer find myself through my own strength.
That’s when I turned fully to God.
But even in that process, I experienced spiritual confusion and entered into a deeply manipulative and abusive relationship that used scripture to control, distort truth, and cause emotional and psychological harm.
I experienced domestic abuse, emotional manipulation, dissociation, and homelessness—seasons that broke me down but did not destroy me.
At rock bottom, I asked God to restore me.
In that place, He began rebuilding me from the inside out—restoring my identity, renewing my mind, and teaching me boundaries, truth, and self-worth rooted in Christ.
Through scripture, prayer, therapy, and trauma recovery work, I began to heal.
I learned that healing wasn’t just spiritual—it was also emotional, relational, and practical.
I realized my pain wasn’t just survival—it was a blueprint.
God was equipping me not only to rebuild my life, but to help other women rebuild theirs.

THE FIRST STEP TO REDEVELOPMENT IS SURRENDER
“Surrender is not breaking—it is yielding to the Potter who rebuilds what life has shaped. When the clay yields, the Potter reveals what was always intended.”
